Technical Analysis Of Stocks

The technical analysis of stocks seeks to forecast future market fluctuations, offering the knowledge required to make a profit for traders. To define entry and exit points for possible trades, traders apply technical analysis of stock techniques to charts. An underlying premise in technical analysis is that all available information has been absorbed by the market and is expressed in the price map.

Technical chart analysis of stock trends is a method of forecasting price movement. This is accomplished through the examination of historical market data, primarily technical such as price and volume. The price of a security is the rate at which it is traded at various points in time. The number of trades completed is referred to as volume. Breadth indicators, price-based indicators, volume-based indicators, and mixing indicators are all available.

The Basics Of Technical Analysis Of Stock Trends

Price discounts everything

Technical analysis of stock trends is the study of forecasting future prices based on an examination of the past price movements.

Technical Chart Analysis is not astrology for predicting prices, and hence is both arts as well as science.

Price movements are not totally random

It is based on analyzing the current demand-supply of stocks, indices, futures, or any tradable instrument.

Technical analysis involves putting stock information like prices, volumes, and open interest on a chart and applying various patterns and indicators to it in order to assess future price movements.

Time Frame in technical analysis

The time frame in which technical analysis is applied may range from intraday (within a single trading session) OR positional one (daily, weekly or monthly) OR long term wherein price data under consideration expands to many years.
